The Teachers

My name is Andrea, I am an artist and dedicated art educator, with a strong academic foundation in painting and a passion for inspiring creativity in others. I hold a PGDE in Art Education from the University of Glasgow (2021) and an MA in Painting from the prestigious Royal College of Art in London (2019), following my BA in Painting with First-Class Honours from the Edinburgh College of Art (2017).

I have had experience in teaching GCSE and A-Level Art in both public and private schools in the UK as well as private tutoring for homeschooled students. I have attended various Pearson and OCR trainings on assessment and I have participated in GCSE and A-Level Art & Design moderation in accordance with UK practice and worked alongside senior Edexcel markers.

I am Pırıl Torgut, a contemporary artist known for my large-scale, nature-inspired oil paintings and installations.

After completing my BA and MFA studies in the UK, I returned to Cyprus to contribute to the local art scene and promote intercommunal cultural work on the island. This is mainly through special art driven activist projects and also by guiding students in creativity and teaching artistic skills to any of interest in the subject.

I am Marxi, a friendly dog with a positive energy. I don't have any art experience - just raw, untrained talent and a nose for adventure (especially if snacks are involved).

I specialize in unexpected barks, as well as occasionally helping to “rearrange” supplies in the name of art. I can also offer great moral support by snoozing nearby (unless a loud noise startles me, in which case I’ll be under the nearest table).

If you drop a biscuit, I’ll be there faster than your paint can hit the floor. Lovable rogue? Absolutely. Mischievous? Occasionally. But always ready to inspire, distract, and accept an outrageous number of belly rubs.
